python-modestmaps software package provides display and interaction library for tile-based maps, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-modestmaps
python-modestmaps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-modestmaps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-modestmaps *
You will get with python-modestmaps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
